How do you rate? Anyways, I wanted to tell yall about something that happened here at our little hospital yesterday morning!!
I didn't find the pictures they had on the news so this will have to go without pictures for right now but anyhow.
Yesterday morning, just before 9, a 75 year old man walked right into our hospital, right into our ICU, greeted the nurses, walked right into his wife's room, shot her point blank and then turned the gun on himself. They call it a mercy killing but still is pretty creepy to me!! If HE can do it to his own wife, who is to say that just anyone can't get into our hospital with a gun and start a rampage?! My mom knew his wife from when the lady worked at the Oil City hospital where 2 of my siblings were born. The lady had Alzheimer's & her husband wrote in a note that he couldn't allow her to suffer anymore. Very sad!! We must definitely remember the family in our prayers!!

Merry Christmas & a few extras
Well, let me first start out by saying belated Merry Christmas to all. On Christmas Day, I spent the entire day in bed because of my jaw. Yes, the pain has returned and been pretty bad but I think we MIGHT have found something that at least helps at times.
Well, let's see... next- after 3 weeks of having no kids(because of weather!!) we scrambled to find a program to present on Sunday morning! All in all, I think it went pretty good. On the 16th, the weather was bad that we couldn't have church either service but it was nice enough in the afternoon that we still got to do our caroling and that was enjoyable. Then on the 18th, we did our "neighborhood" caroling. There is a guy that lives just up the road from the church that we have been trying to get to come to church for as long as I can remember and thank the Lord, he finally came this past Sunday night!! Hopefully he comes back!! We had a chalk drawing for the kids on Sunday morning & a big chalk presentation on Sunday night.
For Christmas, I got a new camera & Mom let me have it a few days early so I could take pictures of my kids with their presents on Sunday & I did... But I can't upload them to here because... my new camera has officially broken already & I have to take it back or something. That was my big present & then I got a few small odds & ends.
Well, I guess my blog for the day is a bit jumbled up but anyhow...enjoy it anyways!!
PS. I hope to get the background and everything changed soon so bear with me!!

Yeah, yeah, yeah... it's only been less than a month since last post
LOL... I see that someone (who shall remain nameless lol) complained that my blog hadn't been updated. Probably because I told her she never updates hers. The big thing is... she has kids so her life is MUCH more interesting than mine!! So back @ ya girly... update with pics :-P
Sorry, I don't have pics on mine anymore... my camera has totally broke... it won't even turn on.
Have several pieces of bad news for this blog:
1) My new computer that I was so graciously given has blown out the new monitor so I'm back to this old slow thing from the school.
2) Our mailbox was hit by the plow truck (with mail in it of course).
3) I haven't been able to have Sunday school with my kids for this week will make 2 weeks. Last week we got hit with an ice storm and this week, the van drivers are going away.
4) On Sat. night we got stranded @ my friend Barb's...almost had to stay all night because of the ice being so bad (and she only lives like 1 mile from me).
Well, guess that's all for now.

Praise the Lord a lil late...
Ok, a few weeks ago (probably more like a month), I told you that I had a big "praise the Lord" to post. Well, even though it's late, I'm still going to post it and add another to it.
First of all, I had been needing a good computer for some time. Mine had kicked the bucket & I was having to use my brother's school computer for everything. I asked a man on myholiness if he could send me a certain disk & that would hopefully fix my old computer. He told me yes & we got to talking. Somewhere in the course of our conversation over the last 2? months, he decided that he would give me a computer(tower). It is the most awesome computer I've ever even dreamed of. It has just about everything you could possibly want a computer to have. Not only that, but when I set it up, we found out my monitor wouldn't work with it... so I thought guess I'm out of luck... I told him about it and guess what he did?? He went out and ordered a 19 inch LCD screen & had it mailed to my house. In addition to the tower, in the first box... were surround sound speakers & a new mouse. I can't help but praise the Lord enough for all the blessings He has given me through my new friend :-) Kurt, if you decide to read this... THANKS A MILLION FOR EVERYTHING!!
Secondly, almost 3 weeks ago I started having severe pain in my jaws. It hurt to talk, eat, do anything that meant moving my jaws. I went to my family doctor & he said TMJ & arthritis... gave me anti-inflammatories & high potency pain killers. Two weeks later, I was still having the pain & it didn't seem to be getting any better. I went to church last Sunday night and cried through most all of it. They anointed me and it didn't seem to get any better. When everyone went to do the Pastor Appreciation pounding, I asked my friend that we had rode with if she could take me back to our car at her house (about a mile down the road). Once we were in her car, she was like I think you need the ER so that's where we ended up. My sis-in-law was the nurse that took me back to the room. My blood pressure was sky high. The PA came in and checked me out & he said I think your Dr. is right but I'm going to give you a muscle relaxant and different pain pills & I'll check on you again in 30 mins. I took the pills & we waited... nothing happened... no relief!! I was like I want to go home this is ridiculous! I stuck it out & he came back... said well I can give you a shot of something like morphine & you can stay another 20 minutes. I was miserable, so I consented to that. It didn't really take effect at the hospital but on the way home I felt quite a bit better & I ended up sleeping most of Monday. After that, I have taken maybe 2 muscle relaxers but thank the Lord for HIS touch because I have not had to even come close to touching the pain pills!! Thank you, JESUS!!

Tonight
Tonight was the Stoneboro School's first real PTO (last month was the school picnic) and the elementary children put on a program. It was really good. One of the little boys in grade 3&4 class is deaf and just really made the program more interesting. That class did more "hands on" stuff than the others just so he could participate. I wish I had pictures but...my camera won't even turn on any more & the others that went with us... didn't take their cameras. :-( I do have to say... Stoneboro feels soooo weird without my adopted parents (the Marshalls) there.

Time for a new post???
Hm... what should I do about the people that complain that I need a new post?! HM!! You don't think over a month between posts is ok?!
Ok, let's see what I can blog about... hmm...
Well, Sept. 15th was the local area festival & the junior girl's Sunday school class decided to have a sleepover @ my good friend's house. I didn't spend the night with them but I was there for games & mainly to help the adults supervise. We decided to take them to the fireworks that night. One of the girls earlier in the evening had been talking about how she'd tried to kill herself a few nights before that. Well, at the park with over 1,000 people there, she was on the swing & dropped her i-pod out. We prayed that night when we realized it was gone and the next morning we were able to find it. Right under the swings, where all those people had been walking!! Praise the Lord for answered prayer! When I called the girl, she said "Thank God!! Oh, Thank GOD!!"
Ok, then last Friday my family went to the mall to go to Goodwill---quarter sales... you know the drill. Anyways, we got out of the car and my brother stooped down & said "guys, I just found $20!" I said, "no way, not possible" I went around the car and right in front of me was another $20. After that, my brother said let's look under the car and would you believe another $20!! Praise the Lord. Although, someone else lost it... it was money we much needed and nobody else laid claim to it!
I have another big praise the Lord but that one's gonna have to wait for another wk or so. Maybe I'll be able to post more often then!

Pictures
Here's a few pictures that I took at Stoneboro. I just got them onto the computer from my cell so that's why they are so late and not the best quality. I thought they were cute though!! There's a few more of other people that I'll probably post later but these were all of the Gurnee girls :-). Their mommy is probably going to kill me for posting these :-D.

New things
Well, as you can see I have added some pictures from Sunday to here. I still have some from other times that I plan to add so keep checking back. Several people have found my blog so that's kind of exciting.
Oh, yes, have to brag on our attendance... are you ready for this?! On Sunday morning, we had 30 under the age of 12 and 20 others!! Total of 50 people which is very good for our Sunday morning. I'm not sure how many we had Sunday night... Here's 2 more pictures from Sunday night.
Minus the 4 Crouch children, this is part of our regular youth group (under the age of 25). We had quite a few missing!!

Yesterday
Well, I'm surprised I'm still here. Yesterday, I had 8 children under the age of 5 in my Sunday school class. All 5 of my regulars were there as well as a cousin of one of my girls, a baby, and a friend of another one of my girls. Needless to say I was pretty busy!! Here are some pictures of that day.
Last night we had "Children's Day" and had the Crouch family sing and speak to us. Everything they had to say was really challenging even though I am not going back to school. The pastor gave us each $5 to McDonald's from the church. After church, we took most everyone back to my good friend's house and had tacos and a good time of fellowship. This was the first long period of time I've gotten to spend with my new "aunt" since our camp and we had a blast.

Oh yes, my Sunday school class!!
I have increased from 2 girls, to 3 girls, to 4 girls, to 4 girls 1 boy, and it just keeps growing!! I'm so thrilled at what the Lord is doing for our little church. On average right now, under the age of 12, we have 23 attending!! So exciting!!
Well, just had to share that exciting news with you.
This Sunday night we are having "Children's Day"! Some of our young people complained when we had the Mother's & Father's Day service that the children never get celebrated so this will be our turn!!

Long time no post!! My Summer!
Wow... it's been forever since I posted to this but I guess it doesn't matter since I'm the only one who ever reads it!!
Let's see what has happened to me since I posted here last. Oh, yes, I was "adopted" by our superintendent & his wife as their granddaughter. When they went back to Texas for the year, I had a major emotional breakdown but I'm doing ok now.
Um, we had our camp in June but Bro. Campbell wasn't able to come so Bro. Smith filled in. It was a very excellent camp! As for donations, I think people did fairly well. We still have plates & cups left over! The food was excellent too!
After our camp, it was a couple weeks until we went to Stoneboro Youth camp but were only there for 1 night & 2 days. Wished it could have been longer but it wasn't. It was great to see the Craig Lines again even if I didn't get to talk to them! After Youth camp, we went right into Pine Ridge camp and spent a LOT of time there. It was a good camp too.
We had a little bit of a reprieve and then we went to Stoneboro main camp. This year's evangelists were Judy Williams & Lloyd Campbell. The Bible teacher was Robert Pelton but I didn't get to hear him because I was in youth with B.J. Ward. The song evangelists were obviously the Victory Trio (I guess they should be called the Victory Duet). I "met" quite a few people from the internet there but didn't get to talk to nearly as many as I saw. I officially talked to Connie Sanders, Danae Young, scary man-Byron Gurnee & of course his wonderful wife Julie & their darling angels-Kenton, Vincent, Kendra, & Alyssa, um... I'm sure there are more that I don't remember right now. Of course I have no pictures because I didn't find my digi cam until the day before we left!! I had a good time but had a lot of struggles too.
After camp (wow, this second post just keeps getting longer!!), we are back to our duties at church and home. School is starting so we have to keep up with that and just general life. I applied for a job but it had already been filled so I'm a little sad over that.
Well, I'm going to end for now... maybe someone will find my blog & find my life interesting enough to comment?!

First Post
Hmm... what should be said in a first post? Well, I know I probably won't update this very often because "interesting" things don't usually happen to me and I wouldn't want to bore you with my daily life.
Right now, we are preparing for our father's & mother's day service & our 50th camp meeting. I was put in charge of buying the gifts for the parents & getting together poems & pictures of the deceased parents. As for camp, I have been calling local places asking for donations so we'll see how much stuff we actually get.
If you are in the area, stop by our camp some time. It runs from June 15-24 with Rev. Lloyd Campbell & Rev. David Hall as evangelists & the Allen Smith family are the song evangelists. Our VBS also runs that week as the children's services so you'd probably find me there. We have awesome food (new cook this year but I'm sure it will still be good), real potatoes and all!!
I guess that's all for a first post... any questions just ask away!! Leave me some comments & let me know how stupid you really think I am lol.
